Our staff can assist with batteries, bands, bracelets, cleaning, watch identification, precious-metal testing, basic authenticity opinions, diamonds and gemstones, appraisals and more. More involved repairs can be coordinated with an outside professional watchmaker when necessary.
Bring it in. Sometimes a stopped quartz watch simply needs a battery. Other times there may be another issue.
Gulfcoast can take a look and help determine whether the problem appears to be something we can handle directly or whether the watch should be sent to a professional watchmaker.

Battery replacement for many quartz watches. Pricing depends on the watch and complexity of accessing and replacing the battery.
We can check a watch battery and help determine whether a stopped quartz watch simply needs a replacement battery or may have another issue.
We can remove an existing strap and install an appropriate replacement strap or band.
Already purchased a replacement strap or band? We can assist with installation when it is compatible with the watch.
We can add or remove compatible links to help properly size many metal watch bracelets.
Minor clasp adjustments can help improve the fit and function of appropriate watch bracelets.
We can replace simple watch buckles or clasps when an appropriate compatible replacement is available.

If your quartz watch has stopped, bring it to Gulfcoast. We can test the battery and determine whether a battery replacement gets the watch running again.
Battery replacement generally ranges from $10 to $30 depending on the watch, case design and complexity of the replacement.
If a new battery does not resolve the problem, we can let you know that the watch may require additional professional service.
A watch should fit comfortably and securely. Gulfcoast can assist with common strap, band and bracelet needs.
We also carry selected watch bands and other watch components. Available inventory changes, so stop in or contact the store if you are looking for something particular.
You don't necessarily need to purchase the replacement strap from us. If you already have a compatible strap or band, bring the watch and replacement in and we can assist with installation.

Ask About Your WatchEveryday wear can leave watches and bracelets with dirt, oils and buildup. Gulfcoast can provide basic exterior cleaning for appropriate watches and bracelet cleaning.
For appropriate metal bracelets, the bracelet can be removed from the watch before ultrasonic cleaning.
The watch itself is not placed into the ultrasonic cleaner. We separate the bracelet when ultrasonic cleaning is appropriate.
An ultrasonic cleaner uses liquid and vibration to remove buildup from small spaces in metal jewelry and bracelets.
The watch head contains the movement and other components, so we do not simply place the entire watch into the ultrasonic cleaner.
Gulfcoast's watch services extend beyond batteries and bands. Our experience in watches, jewelry, diamonds and precious metals allows us to examine many of the characteristics that can affect a watch's identity and value.
We can help identify watch models and references and examine available serial or reference information.
Our staff can examine a watch and provide a basic professional opinion regarding authenticity and whether additional examination may be needed.
